Instance users
List host users and reset passwords without SMTP.
On /settings/instance, the Users section is visible to instance admins.
What you see
Each row shows:
- Display name and email
- Password sign-in or No password (SSO or unset)
- Reset password
Reset a password
- Click Reset password for the user
- Enter New password and Confirm (at least 8 characters, max 128)
- Confirm — copy notes that all of their sessions will be signed out
Success: Password updated. All sessions for that user were signed out.
Use this when forgot-password is off, SMTP is missing, or a user is locked out of SSO-linked password recovery.
